« Dans Le Granier,
la terre vit, souffre et est chargée d'histoire. La caméra, fixe,
montre une montagne éprouvée qui semble contenir un secret sacré. Ces
paysages telluriques transfigurés par des manipulations sur l'image
(animation, virage, teintage, etc.) d'une grande plasticité, racontent
l'histoire de cette montagne peuplée d'incantations, et son
appartenance à cette nature sauvage. » (Emmanuel Lefrant)
« In Le Granier, the earth lives, suffers and is laden with history. The
static camera shows a tormented mountain which appears to contain some
sacred secret. These tellurian landscapes, transfigured by manipulation
of the image (animation, toning, tinting etc.) to great plastic effect,
tell the story of this mountain populated by incantations, and of how it
belongs to the nature's wilderness (Emmanuel Lefrant).»

Diplômé
des Beaux-Arts de Grenoble, Olivier Fouchard a produit et réalisé
depuis le milieu des années 90 un nombre remarquable de films et
vidéos.Tel un alchimiste, il maîtrise, grâce aux techniques artisanales
de laboratoire, la plupart des étapes de fabrication des films
argentiques.Sa sensibilité et son oeil de peintre donnent à ses films
une matière et des couleurs d'une puissance visuelle rare.
Aussi, Olivier Fouchard
co-réalise des films avec Mahine Rouhi depuis 1999 au sein d' Ateliers
Cinématographiques D' Artistes ou "Labos Indépendants" tels que :
L'Abominable (Asnières/seine) et l'Atelier MTK (Grenoble)...
