D'après le récit de Kaspar Hauser par lui-même, 1828, Nuremberg.
Au
départ il y a une image, celle d’une petite fille, Genie, trouvée sans
langage, enfermée jusqu’à l’âge de douze ans, quittant sa chambre
noire, filmée par les services sociaux en 1970. Kaspar Hauser,
contrairement à Genie, a pu écrire le récit de sa propre expérience,
qui eut lieu au début du XIXème siècle en Allemagne. Que ce récit
puisse résonner au nom de tous ceux qui n’ont pas le langage, ou un
langage lacunaire, c’est à dire en même temps au fond, au nom de tous
les exilés, y compris bien sûr dans leur propre pays. « Imbécile, fou, demi-sauvage ? » « Où est son passeport ? » demandent les policiers à Kaspar à son arrivée à Nuremberg.
The starting point was a picture, the picture of Genie, a little girl
who'd been discovered without language, having been locked away until
the age of twelve, filmed by the social services leaving her dark room
in 1970. Contrary to Genie, Kaspar Hauser had been able to write down
the story of his experiences, at the beginning of the 19th century in
Germany. This film is for all those who have no language, or only an
imperfect form, and so for all exiles, including those in their own
lands. “Where is his passport?” the policemen asked Kaspar, the
“Imbecile, madman, half-savage” on his arrival in Nuremberg.
