Bio :
Born
in 1976 in Luzern. Studied Theater and Journalism at the University of
Bern and Fribourg, assistant lecturer at the Theatre Institute, Bern.
From 1997 to 2000, worked as an actress and assistant in theatre
productions in Bern. From 2000 to 2005, studied film at ESBA,
University of Fine Arts, Geneva. 2005-06, masterclass at ESBA Genf,
professors Claudio Pazienza and Jean-Louis Comolli, assistant lecturer
at the HEAD (old ESBA); in 2008, Grant for Berlin of the
Kulturkommission Zentralschweiz. 2010 masterclass at Zurich Film
Festival. Marie-Catherine Theiler lives and works in Switzerland
and in Berlin.
